Curtin, Michael
Mike Curtin, Neenah, age 59, passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side,
late Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, from complications of kidney cancer. He was born on April 19, 1946,
in Milwaukee, WI; son of Antoinette and Jeremiah M. Curtin. Mike was a graduate of Marquette University High School, Milwaukee,
and earned his degree from Dominican College, Racine, WI, where he lettered in basketball and baseball. He did graduate work
at Marquette University and UW-Milwaukee. He taught and coached basketball, baseball and golf at Dominican College, Sheboygan
North High School and St. Mary Central High School, Menasha. He had been employed in the paper industry for the past 20 years,
associated with the Peltz Group, Milwaukee. We appreciate their support and caring throughout the many years.
Mike was always involved in teaching and coaching, following in the footsteps of his
parents. Through his children, he was extremely involved in coaching basketball, baseball and soccer. He was the founder of
the Neenah Youth Basketball Association and treasured his time spent with the youth of our community. He also won several
volunteer of the year awards. Whereas his children's participation was important to him, the participation of all children
was his ultimate goal.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosemary; his children: Jeremiah and
his wife Andrea, Beverly Hills, CA; John, Newport Beach, CA; Molly, Sherwood, WI; and Peter, Neenah. He is also survived by
his mother, Antoinette Curtin, Milwaukee; his sister, Mary Zanon, West Allis, WI; his sister-in-law, Pat Tessin, Saginaw,
MI; his brother-in-law, John H. Nickodemus and his wife, RoseMary, Saginaw, MI; his brother-in-law, Tom Nickodemus and his
wife Kathy, Casper, WY; his sister-in-law, Mary Hemmer, Saginaw, MI; and his aunt and uncle, Barbara and Bob Czachowski, Houston,
TX. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

and father-in-law: Katharine M. and John P. Nickodemus.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this time,
especially Dr. Phillips and the staff at Fox Valley Oncology, Dr. Elisberg, the staff at Theda Clark, and especially the kind
and caring staff at Cherry Meadows. To all who knew him, played for him, played golf with him, played bridge with him, or
worked with him, you were all a part of his pure enjoyment of life.
