Mary F. Ladwig

Mary Frances Ladwig. 62, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints on Friday January 1, 2010. Mary was born in Milwaukee on September 24, 1947, the daughter of F. Milton and Catherine (nee: Madden) Ladwig.

She was a graduate of Mercy High School, in Milwaukee “Class of 1965” and Dominican College “Class of 1969” with a degree in Medical Technology. Mary was very proud of serving two years with the Peace Corp in Malaysia.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Johnson Ladies Golf League, Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays. Mary was a baseball, golf and cooking enthusiast. She was employed at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints as a Medical Technologist, retiring with 40 years of service.

Mary is survived by her fiancée, John Ballarini of Racine; brothers and sister, Alan (Barbara) Ladwig of Dallas, TX., David (Joeanne) Ladwig of Muskego, Catherine (Don) Gray of Sydney, Australia, Edward (Susan) Ladwig of Franklin, Milt (Terry) Ladwig of Oconomowoc, and Ken (Jill) Ladwig of New Berlin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., on January 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Crewe officiating. Entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. and a visitation at church on Friday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Central Office, 926 LaSalle St. Racine, WI 53402. have been suggested.

Mary’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to W.F.H.-All Saints I.C.U. and the 3rd Floor Staff for their devotion and care.
